To all the critics, I have a few words to say. It wasn't made for you.
If there is such a top award, this is Alabama's classical masterpiece. This is a serious compilation of songs put together by the greatest country group of all time, affectionately known to their millions of die-hard fans as 'the boys in the band.'
Each song reflects the maturity and the years of experience gained by Alabama. They are our national treasure, showing the tremendous sentimentality of America for the last 25 years. That is why they are still #1 to millions of fans around the world.
The proof is how the CD has pictures and songs about the World Trade Center, New York and other cities across America. The proof is how they dedicate a song to our military. The proof is how the songs can be sad, happy, melancholy and so passionate...before the horrible terrorist attacks of September 11th.
"When it all Goes South" can be whatever 'you want to be.' Each song delivers something old, new, and alive with charm and grace, twists and turns that promises classic Alabama.
May I offer a suggestion? Listen to the CD once or twice, then sing along with it. You will be amazed how addicting the songs are and then understand what I am trying to explain. And, I can roll on and on!
