Ah, the beginning of one of the greatest bands to grace us with their talents. Cake has come a long way from this album, yet if you want to find the essence of the group, I'd buy this CD. The beats remain relatively uncomplicated yet you'll find yourself pressing the repeat button a couple of times for a large selection of the songs. Unlike most artists, Cake explores a variety of music genres but, nothing that they perform comes off as contrived or familiar. For the ecclectic, Cake stands out as a beacon of fresh beginnings from album to album. By the way, I'm listeninig to this CD as I type this review. Get it, I haven't run across a single person that dislikes Motorcade of Generosity or any other of Cake's works.
