Reviews

Turbo charged and addicting, that's the best way I can describe this album. When I listen to it I feel energized. The songs are played in what feels like a very fast time signature and they just keep moving. I'm partial to the three opening tracks and by the time "The Fad" ends, and the beat slows a bit, I feel like I have had to catch my breath.

Another great effort by the talented trio. I sometimes find it hard to believe that three guys can make such great music. But we've seen it before, 3 very talented individuals get together and continually make intense songs. What I love most about Vena Sera is the guitar. More than "This Type.." or "Wonder.."; Vena Sera seems to be chock full of amazing guitar sections; surrounded by melodic driving beat. With each passing year, this band seems to get tighter and tighter. And that's the best way to describe this album--just plain tight. It's well mixed, well produced and the song choices really highlight this bands ability to play together.

Favorite Tracks:

" Antisaint" Great track to start off a great album. I love the driving melodic opening with the steady thumping drum/guitar riff. It's the kind of song to play while in your car driving very fast. This song represents some of the things that make me listen to Chevelle over and over again. Catchy, melodic, emotional and a bit raw.

`Braniac" You have to love the beat here. Chevelle is not just like every other hard rock band out there today. Some of their tracks are almost "danceable" crossing over ever-so-slightly into (dare I say this)...electronica.

"Fad" This cross over track seems to get a lot of radio air play, and if it attracts more fans, then it probably has done its job. It's just plain catchy. The kind of song you find yourself singing even after the song has ended.

"I Get It" Much of what I said above applies to this track as well. Sing-able, memorable, makes you want to get up and dance which is really very strange for hard rock track. But gets you down right addicted to this album.
