To start off with, I can't compare this album to their previous albums, as I only own this. However, this is one stunning slab of metal. It has the most perfect opening of any album I own. Dark, foreboding, and prophetic of the masterpiece to follow. Then, Lie of Lies opens with a metallic force not often found in progressive metal. This is serious metal. Throughout the album, there is a real sense that these guys know their stuff. Romeo really shines as a guitarist. The complex solos pervading this album leave me speechless. Russell Allen delivers very convincingly in his passionate singing. Pinella, Rullo, and Lepond also are top notch in their playing of the keyboards, drums, and bass respectively. There really is no filler here. It is jam packed with tasty metallic goodness/badness. You will really get your money's worth with this. However, the most important aspect of this album is the concept and lyrics. Good vs Evil, and in the end it's all the same. God vs Satan, they're both the same. Choices choices. Dark, epic, and truly stunning. YOU MUST GET THIS!!!
