I was a little put off by some of the reveiws I saw of this cd but it is really great. It is sort of a more of the same relese but if you like John Mayer whats wrong with that? He plays a Marvin Gaye song and does some great re-worked versions of his other songs. There is also a blues song that really lays his roots bare. Played the song for some of my friends that are "big" fans with out telling them what it was. It seems to have opened their eyes to the idea that he is more than just a pretty face.
