Kalan Porter's sophomore cd was well worth the wait. This cd shows how Kalan has matured since his last cd "219 Days". Kalan co-wrote 7 of the 11 songs on the album. Drawing his inspiration from his mother's battle with breast cancer, Kalan lyrics are not the fluff you hear from other pop stars.

I love every track on this album! It's hard to pick a favorite because I have fallen in love with them all. I must say that Out of My Head which was written a couple of weeks after Kalan found out his mother was diagnosed with cancer really touches my heart. With this cd, Kalan proves that he not only has a magnificent voice but he is also an accomplished songwriter and musician (Kalan played violin and did all the violin arrangements on the cd).

If you haven't purchased this cd yet, I highly recommend that you do so. You will not regret it.

I absolutely love ths entire CD! Kalan's rich voice is showcased with the songs, and I love the slower ones. Wrong is my favorite!

Wake up living is a thinking person's album. It's the kind of cd where you pour yourself a glass of wine and sit back and lose yourself in Kalan's wonderful voice and his phrasing and emotion. I love it.

This CD is a little more mellow rock/pop than I was expecting Kalan's sophomore CD to be. I don't like all the songs on the CD, but there are some great songs on the CD and worth a purchase. My personal favorites on the CD are Hurray, Karma King, Walk on Home and Beauty. Down in Heaven was a huge hit for Kalan making it to #7 on Canada's soundscans radio airplay list.

Kalan is a talented musician and plays a mean violin and that is apparent on the CD where is has lots of strings.
