Lil' Mama finally released her long delayed debut album "VYP: Voice Of The Young People" which features the singles "Lip Gloss", "G-Slide (Tour Bus)" and "Shawty Get Loose" plus upcoming singles "L.I.F.E" & "What It Is (Strike A Pose)" and the remix of Avril Lavigne's "Girlfriend" (on UK, Japan & deluxe versions).

Lil' Mama has recieved a lot of hate for the song "Lip Gloss" and being labelled bubblegum, etc...but with this album she proves she is a multi-talented artist (can sing as well as rap) and "VYP" has its occasional weak lyric moments ("Lil' Mama got whips & chains") but is a good debut album with a good mix of singing on "Broken Pieces", "Swim", etc... and straight up rap on "One Hit Wonder", "Make It Hot", etc... and what was wrong with "Lip Gloss" anyway? Although the lyrics were a bit bad it was a good track- lighten up!

I wouldn't say "VYP" is outstanding 10/10, more like 8.5/10 but it is very good and is a great debut album! And can you people get over "Lip Gloss" already? "they are worth my time and can sing about more then freakin lip gloss"- this is obviously a hater who hasn't even listened to the album because it talks about "Lip Gloss" on the 1 song, nowhere else and this person's review has been rated helpful. If you are going to review an album at least listen to it first and I think this person would just try to hate it anyway. Very good album
