I'm not usually a fan of people to come from any of the Idols: American Idol, Pop Idol, Canadian Idol, etc, however, Melissa O'Neil's debut is an exception. Like Kelly Clarkson's "Breakaway," she manages to conquer the powerpop/rock genre without flaw, and delivers crisp tracks along with strong, excellent vocals. My personal favorite, "String Me Along," is just as infectious as Kelly's "Since U Been Gone," and would easily make number one on the Billboard Hot 100. She's already storming the charts in Canada, why not the USA?
