Say Anything has done it again with their latest album "In Defense of the Genre." Featuring 27 songs on two discs, each song is unique and completely alters the way you will see Say Anything as a band. Their last album "...Is/Was a Real Boy" used mostly acoustics and featured songs that focused on emotional uprising and story. "In Defense of the Genre" has evolves from this to include more technical wizardy and thus feels more popish, but more professional and polished. Although Disc 1 is nearly flawless, Disc 2 has some problems, but there are enough hits on it without being a dud. It doesn't matter, however, as there are a plethora of good songs to listen to between the two discs. Definitely a must buy for anyway interested in great music!
