The White Tie Affair is not a really well-known band right now, but time and touring should change that. I love this CD. It is bright, upbeat music, sprinkled with electronica. Many of the tracks remind me of Justin Timberlake or Blake Lewis, but pushed more toward rock territory. Not hard rock, but tight, fast rock, like, say, Blink 182, Foo Fighters or Maroon 5. Their song "Candle (Sick & Tired)" is catchy enough to be a big radio hit. I don't think it is yet, but it should be. The video for "Candle" shows that the center of the band's energy is the very cool lead singer, Chris Wallace, and the CD proves it. His voice is the magnet in the band for me. It is high-pitched, which I like. (If you don't like that, you may not like the album.) He also co-wrote every song, with different partners. I expect TWTA to be successful. They will heighten your adrenalin with this CD, and they seem to have the talent to grow when it is time to do so.
