Although a little too poppy and a whiny for my taste, the song (like the video)is very catchy and reminiscent of the Counting Crows' first album. I found myself singing it in the elevator, which is appropriate given that it's probably destinated to by on a Musak system in a couple of years.
this is the song me and girlfreinds song cos it was the song of the first time we met and are forst kiss 100% excellence thanks u guys for makin such a gd song
CHEERS
This is a beautiful song written by a group that people are going to be hearing on the radio for many, many years to come. "Boston" is emotionally driven. The piano part is magnificent and the buildup to the end of the song is fantastic. The song's meaning is simple: the person is tired of living the same, boring life and is ready for a change. Whether they are literally going to Boston or if "Boston" is just a state of mind is hard to verify. The video was well done. I like the beginning with all of the vacant pianos sitting on the beach. This may signify the feeling of being alone that the song seems to hint to during the pre-chorus: "you don't know me, you don't even care, oh yeah, and you don't know me and you don't wear these chains, oh yeah." This was just well done in all regards. Awesome video! I highly recommend this album "All The Stars and Boulevards" as well.
Augustana is awesome! The video is sooo cool.
