While Butch Walker is my favorite artist, he is still a rather unknown artist to most of the music listeners out there, yet is really amazing. When this CD came out, I was a little uncertain about his new, Bowie-like sounds, and not sure it measured up to his old stuff (yes, there are two prior solo albums), but this song has turned out to be one of my favorites, and I absolutely love the album now! "Bethamphetamine" has become the staple, rock out in the car song, and jump around my bedroom to. Does that make me strange? Anyway, while different from his past songs, this one is excellent, and is still made up of the power pop/rock Butch is known to deliver! (Do you notice a certain cameo by the little punk rock queen Avril? Anyway, he's produced her stuff, toured with her, etc. Apparently their pals- very cool to see her in this video.) So, my opinion overall stands as- great song and very fun to rock your head to! More importantly, pick up some tix and see Butch live, you won't regret it! In fact, you'll most likely become a ridiculously devoted fan and wish you would have got dialed into him sooner.
