aggressive, slashing, thrashing, and vulgar need i say anythingelse!!!!
there is nothing vulger about this video. A man sits in a chair with his glass... watching on tv the images of judgement day unfolding around him.
He is shaking and crying... afraid of what is happening? fearful of the future?
No.
Because at the end we see why he is really crying.
Our charactor cries for the fact that he cant join in the killing... he was forcefully retired not a month before....
Best song ever, by the way.
Listen to the lyrics of this song and take the lyrics of Ashes of the Wake (the entire albumn) into account. This video is an attack on the way we treat our military personel and what senseless wars do to them mentally. The lyrics of 11th hour revolve around addiction, how a person knows the affect something has on them, yet they continue to hurt themselves - "jacked up on the taste of self destruction". Listen to Ashes of the Wake and you know for a fact that lamb of god are pretty much against the current campaign in the middle east. If you look closely at the writing in the letter, I think the idea is that he is getting called back to active duty. The video is meant to showcase the hell that war is and impact that it has on the soilders we send to fight - driving them into addiction to deal with the mental trauma resulting from war. Granted this is just my interpretation, but I think it's a pretty strong message. Great video.
